Abdou Diouf Visits CIPA
His
Excellency Mr. Abdou Diouf, Secretary General of the International
Organisation of the Francophonie (www.agence.francophonie.org)
stopped by the Collectivit� ing�nieuse de la P�ninsule acadienne (CIPA)
inc. during his first official visit to New Brunswick on
June 23, 2003.
Mrs. Nancy Lainey Th�riault, CIPA President,
welcomed the delegation along with CIPA General Director, Mr. Jacques
L�ger, who presented visitors with the Smart Community project�s
francophonie network component, aimed at promoting communication and
exchange among francophones at the Canadian and international levels.
Mr. Diouf also took the opportunity to launch the Agence
intergouvernementale de la Francophonie�s Youth portal, showcasing actions
for young people.
