CAPA COMMISSION DAMNAGEMENT DE LA PNINSULE ACADIENNE WILL
OFFICIALLY LAUNCH ITS NEW WEBSITE
(Caraquet, Monday, December 8, 2020) The Commission
d'amnagement de la Pninsule acadienne (CAPA), in cooperation with
the Collectivit ingnieuse de la Pninsule acadienne (CIPA) inc., will
officially launch its new website during a CyberSocial organized by CIPA.
The event will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2003, at Doolys, in
Caraquet.
Mrs. Nancy Lainey-Thriault, President of the Collectivit Ingnieuse de
la Pninsule acadienne (CIPA) Inc. and Mr. Eugene Basque, President of the Commission
d'amnagement de la Pninsule acadienne (CAPA), will present the new
website.
The Commission damnagement
de la Pninsule acadienne is very proud to now have such an innovative
website, says Mr. Benoit Fortier, CAPA director. This exceptional means of
communication will allow the organization to present a broader range of
information regarding community planning in the Acadian Peninsula and in a
much more interesting format, through the application of information and
communications technologies (ICT).
Citizens will now be able to freely consult city and zoning plans as well as
related regulations covering all regions of the Acadian Peninsula. The
population will therefore not only have access to the regulatory framework
affecting their own properties, but to information related to the land use
planning process for their entire area. Moreover, as this is an interactive
website, it will be possible for visitors to submit information requests
online.
The general public still has very little knowledge of the land use planning
process, which is composed of consultation mechanisms necessary to the
elaboration of related tools (such as zoning legislation, subdivision
control and building restrictions). We are conviced that the populations
active involvement in land use planning is of paramount importance, and the
website will now allow for the publics participation, he concluded.
The website represents an effective means of publicly presenting the
organizations mandate and services. The Collectivit ingnieuse de la
Pninsule acadienne (CIPA) inc. participated in the project by offering its
technical support. CIPA is proud to have contributed to this project,
which will allow the integration of CAPA data to the Acadian Peninsula
portal, explains Mrs. Nancy Lainey-Thriault.
